New Mystery Game Tool

Just in time for the Halloween Season (minus two days) is a Tool for creating globe trotting Paranormal Mysteries! Simply roll a few dice and you'll have all you need for an exciting self contained adventure.

For some fun history on this project, it originally began years ago as a game which was going to use the same Game System for my main project Companions of Limitas, but with rules adapted for the Modern Day (Sort of my own D20 Modern if you will). The setting was going to be one I had tooled with over the years for Sci-Fi adventures. This is why some of the chart results for culprits are so specific at times. This is also why Companions of Limitas has a Big Foot stat block. I was going to reuse that later. I never did.

At some point the idea of it being a d100 game was dropped, and decided it would be a d20 game who's rules were essentially a pared down version of Call of Cthulhu. It has five stats, Brawn Reflex Survival Education and Resolve, and another value called "Fear Save" which would the Resolve minus Survival. This was inspired by the Call of Cthulhu Mechanic where you could loose more Sanity if you passed an INT roll after a failed POW role, because you comprehended the horror more. Which I liked, but wanted to simplify.

Later I decided this game would do well with a series of charts for random sessions. Originally there was going to be a d100 chart of potential culprits, several of which would be non-paranormal (and Idea I got from a Nerdscync video on the nature of Scooby Doo post Zombie island). Each entry would have its down d10 table of Clues.

However, as I worked on other games I started to think this idea was a bit too ambitious. So I decided to cut everything save the scenario charts, merge the Clues with the Red Herring chart, and make it system agnostic. Once I had finished a much larger project I decided to finish this in time for Halloween 2025! And I was only two days late!
